I got my code compiled with only one warning but when I try to run the exe it says
(2216): *** system shared memory version m
ismatch detected - 0x75BE007A/0x75BE007E.
This problem is probably due to using incompatible versions of the cygwin DLL.
Search for cygwin1.dll using the Windows Start->Find/Search facility
and delete all but the most recent version. The most recent version *should*
reside in x:\cygwin\bin, where 'x' is the drive on which you have
installed the cygwin distribution. Rebooting is also suggested if you
are unable to find another cygwin DLL.
I am using the one from the /bin folder. Any other way to solve this?

If you sure its a cygwin1.dll problem, delete if exist cygwin1.dll in %systemroot%\system32, copy the cygwin1.dll from the cygwin\bin directory to another directory, for example c:\test, and also copy the compiled bin from it to the folder, and try to run it again ?

shouldn't be really using cygwin to compile anything anyways. www.cygwin.com if you goto their website it's not meant to be native *nix nor run native apps such as that. i suggest using a virtual machine (vmware, microsoft virtual pc, etc) and do a real install of any *nix or freebsd system.
